The village Saint-Paul-le-Jeune
The Village
This small commune located on the southern entrance axis of the department, on the border of the Gard, occupies a favorable position for intra- and interdepartmental communication. Formerly Travers de Banne, the village of Saint-Paul-le-Jeune acquired the status of Commune in 1832. Composed of several hamlets that already appear on the Cassini map of the 18th century, its past is mainly linked to the cultivation of silkworms, chestnuts and coal mining.
